Use the clubroom to learn something worth knowing, then find a place to teach it. These are the opportunities taking shape for the 2026–27 school year.
LEARN FROM
Student Makers at Georgia Tech will teach STEM courses virtually into the ETHS YTC Clubroom this school year. This is a chance to learn directly from university engineering students inside the club's peer-to-peer model.
Student Makers at Georgia Tech is a registered student organization and a member of the YTC Global Alliance. Their student instructors are joining YTC's teaching network.

The point is not just another online class. YTC students can take what they learn from university mentors and turn it into something useful — a project, a lesson, or a teaching role of their own.
TEACH FORWARD
YTC is developing a weekly after-school program at Foster School with the school and Camp Kuumba, targeted for the second semester. The plan is designed to put ETHS students in the teaching role.
At least two ETHS students would help teach an introduction to robotics. The proposed program would combine in-person and virtual sessions.
Proposed schedule: Once a week
Proposed mix: About 25% in person / 75% virtual
Partner: Foster School + Camp Kuumba
At least two ETHS students would help introduce French and French culture, including Haiti. The same hybrid teaching structure is proposed.
Target: Second semester
Role: ETHS student-teachers
Status: Coordination still underway
Marie-Edmonde Parisien is the ETHS club sponsor. She oversees the clubroom when David Finkel is not there and would participate in the in-person teaching for the Foster program. When Foster sessions are virtual, a Foster staff member or school-approved volunteer would need to be the local adult sponsor.
THE MODEL
You do not have to arrive as an expert. You start by learning. The next step is being reliable enough to help someone else. That is how the club keeps renewing itself.
